Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Toured up West Willow Ridge up to West Willow Peak.  Calm to light winds, very light snowfall, with 4" of fresh snow received the day before (2/15).  No shooting cracks, whumping or other obvious signs of instability.  Dug a snow pit and performed a compression test on NW facing, 25 degree slope at 5,480' elevation, approx. 50' from top of ridge. No obvious signs of wind loading at pit site.
Results: CT11 Q1 SP  at 76cm.     With 11th tap, column sheared clean, popped and basically slid into my lap.  The second picture is looking upslope of where the compression test was performed and is representative of what the slope looked like.
