More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Lots of wind transport with sensitive wind slabs on the usual aspects of W-N-E.  Crossloading occuring on open S facing slopes where there were gullies to catch it.  We were getting small storm slabs to slide at the lower elevations ontop of a recent sun crust.

Snowing lots!. About 4 inches on the truck by the time we got back. Almost an inch on the pack during the time it took us to dig a pit.
