Nice low angle pow skiing in the trees today. Dug a pit on a 28 degree, West facing slope, at 5900’. Extended column propagated and slide into the pit at 18 taps. Single column went at 21 taps. Both failures where on the rain crust interface 70cm from the top. Didn’t dig any deeper than the rain crust. Measured 184cm to ground. Top 3-8” (thicker and denser in wind effected areas) from Saturdays snow has formed a soft slab that can be found in hand pits. It’s loose in spots and supportable in others.
